The Vision

It is the year 2008. The BRUANTEX Performing Arts Theatre has been fully operational for about five years now. The New Braunfels downtown is once again flourishing and city population exceeds 65,000. Due to the Theatre activity and the new and revitalized businesses surrounding it, a healthy growth rate continues.

The touring productions, local performing shows, children's theater activities, corporate programs and other special events have helped to encourage newcomers to more to our fine city. Our theater has, in fact, become a focal point of the area.

Upcoming events include a return of "The New Three Tenors", a Major Bowes for Kids Talent Show, two performances by the BRUANTEX Players, IBM's annual corporate board meeting, and this year's production of the Red Stocking Review, in addition to our previously announced regular season menu. We will also schedule "A Hispanic Legacy" and "Rhapsody with Strings" later in the year.

Our list of season ticket holders includes folks from every community within a thirty mile radius, plus some folks from Boerne, Kerrville, San Antonio, Austin, and Houston. Our first class facility, which includes a fine fly system, adequate dressing rooms, a green room, and one of the largest stages in the area, is now operating in the black, and in fact has a comfortable reserve. Our programs play to a full house about 90% of the time.

Although it was a challenge to keep our ultimate vision in mind back in 1999, we persevered and kept our focus as we progressed, sometimes with a little trepidation, from day to day, constantly working toward both immediate needs and future goals.
